Rams vs Packers

The Green Bay Packers earned an extra week of rest but are now set to enter the postseason fray. They will battle the Los Angeles Rams for a spot in the playoff semifinals at 4:35 p.m. ET Jan. 16 at Lambeau Field. Green Bay is out to keep their five-game home win streak alive.

The Packers had enough points to win and then some against the Chicago Bears two weeks ago, taking their contest 35-16. It was another big night for Green Bay’s QB Aaron Rodgers, who passed for four TDs and 240 yards on 24 attempts. Near the top of the highlight reel was Rodgers’ 72-yard TD bomb to WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the second quarter.

The Packers did not play in the first round of the playoffs, as they are the No. 1 seed in the NFC. They finished the regular season winning six straight games to clinch the top seed, capped by a Week 17 win at the Chicago Bears.

The Rams upset the Seattle Seahawks 30-20 Saturday in a Wild Card game as 3-point road underdogs. Rams QB Jared Goff came off the bench to pass for 155 yards and a touchdown after QB John Wolford exited with an injury.

Rookie RB Cam Akers was the star, rushing for 131 yards with a touchdown and pulling in two receptions for 45 yards. The defense sacked Seahawks QB Russell Wilson five times, intercepted him once and allowed only two third-down conversions in 14 attempts.
